OVERVIEW

This product provides the ability to generate a wide variety of spline curves by adding a number of additional functions to the list of built-in functions available to users of Excel, Visual Basic and Visual Basic for Applications. Once the product is loaded via the appropriate Add-In/Reference Manager, all of the spline interpolation functions that it provides appear as native functions and can be invoked either from spreadsheet cell formulae or from Visual Basic code.

COVERAGE

The product currently supports the following spline types.

•	Auto-Tension splines	Interpolation using splines under automatically generated non-uniform tension.
•	Basis splines	Interpolation using splines constructed with a third order polynomial basis function.
•	Catmull-Rom or Overhauster splines	Interpolation using a recursive basis spline.
•	G-splines	Interpolation using splines constructed with a factorisation method.
•	Non-Uniform Rational Basis splines	Interpolation to provide a precise representation of both conic curves and surfaces.
•	Quintic splines	Interpolation using quintic natural splines.
•	Uniform-Tension splines	Interpolation using splines under constant uniform tension.
•	X-splines	Interpolation using splines that can be either interpolating or approximating.

ACCESSIBILITY

Unrestricted access to the Basis spline functionality is a permanent feature of the product. Access to all the other supported spline types is unrestricted during the evaluation period but is restricted to registered users once the evaluation period has expired.
