INSTALLATION

Once the Addix.Analysis setup program has been successfully copied onto your local machine, you will need to run the setup program by double clicking on it from within File Explorer.

The setup program will perform the following steps:

  • Install the necessary system files, product documentation and any example files to a directory of your choice.
  • Create Start Menu shortcuts to the product documentation, any example files and links to relevant web pages.
  • Update the registry with the information necessary to automatically include the product on the appropriate Add-In/Reference Manager list of the client applications in which it is to be used.

Once the setup program has been run, the product can be accessed from a number of client applications as follows:


Excel

    No additional steps are required to access the product from within Excel. The setup program will have configured Excel to automatically load the product on startup, resulting in the product functions being directly accessible as if they were native Excel functions.


Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)

    This process will need to be performed for each document that needs to access the product since references are stored on a per-document basis.

    • Open the requisite document.
    • Select References... from the Visual Basic Tools menu.
    • Search the resultant list of available references for Addix Technical Analysis Library.
    • Ensure that the Addix Technical Analysis Library entry has a tick in the check box to its left.
    • Close the References dialog box.
    • Save the document.


Visual Basic (VB)

    This process will need to be performed for each project that needs to access the product since references are stored on a per-project basis.

    • Open the requisite project from within Visual Basic.
    • Select References... from the Project menu.
    • Search the resultant list of available references for Addix Technical Analysis Library.
    • Ensure that the Addix Technical Analysis Library entry has a tick in the check box to its left.
    • Close the References dialog box.
    • Save the project.
